Privacy Policy
Effective date: June 6, 2026
TagSet ("the app", "we", "us") is a tool for capturing labeled images and uploading them to your own cloud object storage. This policy explains what the app does and does not do with your information. In short: we do not collect, store, or have access to your data.
We operate no servers and collect no personal data
TagSet has no backend that we control. We do not create accounts, and we do not collect, transmit to ourselves, sell, or share any personal information. We do not use analytics or advertising SDKs and do not track your usage of the app.
Your storage credentials
To upload images you provide credentials for your own S3-compatible object storage — such as Amazon S3, Cloudflare R2, or another compatible provider (typically an endpoint, bucket name, Access Key ID, and Secret Access Key). These credentials are stored only on your device, in the operating system's secure storage (Apple Keychain on iOS, Android Keystore on Android). They are used solely to connect to your own storage and are never transmitted to us.
Your images
Photos you capture or select within TagSet are uploaded only to the storage bucket you configured, under your own account and credentials. We never receive, process, store, or have access to your images. Where and how those images are retained is governed by your own storage provider and your configuration of it.
Device permissions
- Camera — used so you can take photos to capture and upload.
- Photos / Media — used so you can select existing images from your library to upload.
The app only accesses the specific photos you capture or choose. You can change these permissions at any time in your device settings.
Third-party services
TagSet connects to the S3-compatible storage provider you choose (for example Amazon S3 or Cloudflare R2) using the credentials you provide. Your use of that storage is subject to that provider's own terms and privacy practices. We are not a party to that relationship and act only on your device, with your credentials, at your direction.
Children's privacy
TagSet is not directed to children and does not knowingly collect information from children.
Data retention and deletion
Because we hold none of your data, there is nothing for us to retain or delete on your behalf. Credentials and any local capture history are removed from your device when you delete them in the app or uninstall the app. Images you have already uploaded reside in your own storage and are managed by you there.
Changes to this policy
If we make material changes to this policy, we will update this page and revise the effective date above.
